Newly Engaged? Here's what to do first...

Step 1: Protect the Ring

That GOR-GEOUS new sparkler on your finger? You’re going to need insurance to protect that pretty little investment!! So add a phone call to your insurance provider to the tippy top of your to do list.

Step 2: Time to crunch the numbers!

You’ve got the ring, and you’ve likely got some exciting ideas for wedding day… but what about the budget? It’s probably no surprise to you that weddings take a lot of planning, and the financial planning is just as important! Before you head out to shop for your dress, decide where you’d like to stay budget wise and we’ll help you keep that goal! (Bonus tip: Don’t forget to factor in taxes!)

Step 3: Don’t wait too long to shop!

Believe it or not, it’s typical for it to take at least 6-9 months for our production team to create a wedding dress- these days even longer! So to have enough time to shop, say yes, wait for the dress, and then complete alterations all before wedding day - we highly recommend purchasing your wedding dress 12+ months before wedding day! Doing so helps us make sure that you have the best dress options, avoid rush fees, and of course minimize your stress :)

Celebrating a shorter engagement? Don’t worry!! We have options for you, too! But we do recommend getting a move on finding your dress as soon as possible! So book your appointment ASAP & our stylists can discuss the best options for your timeline.

Step 4: Start researching to find your style

Spend some time on Pinterest or Instagram, or treat yourself to a bridal magazine or five and do some visual research before you start your appointments! There’s a million styles and ways to wear a wedding dress, so we recommend looking around and seeing what you’re drawn to. Any pictures you fall in love can help your stylist get a feel for your vision!

You are going to be GORGEOUS, bride. Let’s find the one!

xoxo
